and New Year’s in Patzcuaro 2013, our visitors to Hotel Mansion Iturbe and the surrounding area enjoyed another
breathtakingly lovely Holiday display in our famous Plaza Vasco de Quiroga.
Countless brilliant poinsettias adorned the majestic Plaza, one of the most beautiful in all of the Americas.
The lovely Plaza Vasco de Quiroga in Patzcuaro, measuring 70 x 130 yards, has been greatly enhanced in recent years with new lighting and an astounding sound system that was used to produce Holiday music for many, many visitors. You couldn’t walk through the Plaza without a smile on your face and a song in your heart!

The Great
Christmas Tree, marvelously lit at night, became THE centerpiece of the
Plaza, and was a real sight to see.
What an exceptional way to spend an afternoon in Plaza Vasco de Quiroga – looking up at the sky that changes with each second, looking down to see the historical buildings surrounding the Plaza, with a multitude of people from all over the world smiling and enjoying this yearly event in Patzcuaro!
Add to that the aroma and taste of a hot chocolate or coffee from one of the vendors around the Plaza, and you have a Holiday made in heaven!
