These legends have been passed down from generation to generation, and often involve more than one monument, as is the case with Saint Michael’s Font. Pátzcuaro Legends: Sanit Michael's Font This font, dating from the 16th century, is on the corner of Navarrete and Dr. Coss, not far from La Casa de Los Once Patios. Don Vasco de Quiroga is said to have ordered the installation of this font to bring a water source closer to the homes in Pátzcuaro.
