Spring is upon us once again, and we can see it everywhere in and around Patzcuaro . Potted flowers on balconies and patios announce the arrival of the season.   In this season we especially enjoy the multi-colored geraniums in clay pots made by Michoacan artisans – now that’s Mexican! We hope you can find the time to attend the Geranium Fair in Tingambato March 22-25 ; it’s really worth it. Tingambato is between Patzcuaro and Uruapan – about a half hour’s trip. It’s right on the main road. Geranium Fair in Tingambato close to Patzcuaro And don’t forget the incredible Purepechan ruins at the bottom of the hill in Tingambato . They are not as well known as the ruins of Tzintzuntzan or Ihuatzio, but they are just as stunning. You’ll be glad you took the time to make the small detour.
