Palm Sunday Artisan Fair in Uruapan 2015

The Palm Sunday Artisan Fair in Uruapan is the largest such event in Latin America, drawing 1,300 artisans – including Purépecha, Mazahua, Nahua, and Otomí ethnic groups – from all over Michoacan .   It is a favorite event of our guests at Hotel Mansion Iturbe .   This year it takes place from March 28 to April 12, during which time cultural, artistic, and gastronomic activities will be highlighted. Palm Sunday in Patzcuaro is a very special time and it represents the beginning of Holy Week. The streets are full of activity. The faithful attend the different temples, such as San Francisco or Santuario de la Virgin de Guadalupe and of course, the unique Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Salud de Patzcuaro.
