Six “Artisan Craft Routes” of Pátzcuaro

If you like Mexican “artisan craft routes” you should check out these six options, using Pátzcuaro as a starting point.  You can reach several different indigenous destinations located in very proximity to – some within walking distance of – our "Pueblo Mágico".

We can support our outstanding Mexican artisans by buying their handicrafts of great historical and cultural value.  These crafts are just one of the cultural expressions of these communities. They are the primary source of income for many households; whole generations of families engage in craft production, preserving ancient techniques.

You shouldn’t miss the pottery display and sale every Friday in the Plazuela de San Francisco, and the market in the basketball court next to the Santuario de Guadalupe.
