Patzcuaro is in the State of Michoacán and is one of its nine Pueblos Mágicos, and was the first town to receive this designation.

At an altitude of 2,140 meters above sea level, it is located on the shores of the emblematic Lake Pátzcuaro, which is surrounded by mountains and indigenous communities with an enormous cultural legacy.

A town which is renowned for its architectural beauty, Pátzcuaro amazes visitors for its aesthetics, the uniformity in the colors of its facades, the way it was built over the years, the layout of its streets, its communal basins, where its inhabitants were supplied with water for domestic use, but also for watering their animals, which came to Pátzcuaro thereby becoming an important trade route at the colonial period.
