Among Mexican scarves, Michoacán holds a special niche in Ahuirán.  They are “belt scarves” decorated with flowers and even feathers.

Our guests at Hotel Mansión Iturbe in Pátzcuaro have a keen interest in these belt scarves which are seen during the Day of the Dead season.  This relatively new accessory has become one of the most sought-after artisan accessories.
