Patzcuaro between magical roofs and legends
Patzcuaro, Michoacan, captivates all visitors at first sight with its cobblestone streets, its colonial architecture, and the magic that emanates from its surroundings and beautiful landscapes. We must also mention the tile roofs, the red color of which, at sunset, creates a vibrant palette of colors that contrasts with the shades of the sky and the vegetation of the mountains that surround our town.

Cantera (our favorite rock for carving) crosses are a key
element in this story. Pay attention when walking through Patzcuaro;
you will find them at different points of the town, and they often served as
signs to indicate the houses that had access to tunnels. One of these crosses
can be seen in the Palace of Huitzimengari, today converted into an
artisan center of the native peoples of this region (Purepechas).
