Spring is upon us once again, and we can see it everywhere in and around Patzcuaro. Potted flowers on balconies and patios announce the arrival of the season.
In this season we especially enjoy the multi-colored geraniums in clay pots made by Michoacan artisans – now that’s Mexican!
We hope you can find the time to attend the Geranium Fair in Tingambato March 22-25; it’s really worth it. Tingambato is between Patzcuaro and Uruapan – about a half hour’s trip. It’s right on the main road.

And don’t forget the incredible Purepechan ruins at the bottom of the hill in Tingambato. They are not as well known as the ruins of Tzintzuntzan or Ihuatzio, but they are just as stunning. You’ll be glad you took the time to make the small detour.
If you like geraniums, don’t miss the Geranium Fair in Tingambato this weekend!
We invite you to check more articles in our blog, there are plenty of information that we hope is useful for you to have a great time during your next visit to Patzcuaro!
Tingambato is in the way from Patzcuaro to Uruapan you can also go and visit the National Park in Uruapan
