It’s open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00-17:30.

The space has been designed to increase our understanding of the wanderings and journeys of this legendary figure, who had such a huge impact on the communities of Michoacán.  Don Vasco de Quiroga (1470-1565) was a great humanist who became the first bishop of Michoacán, and was an indefatigable defender of the indigenous’ rights.

La Ruta Don Vasco, won the prize for the best international tourist product, and was overall winner of the 16th competition for “Best Product of active tourism", organized by the international tourism fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain in 2011.
