      The Day of the Dead Artisan Exhibition is one of the main annual attractions in the State of Michoacan .   The rituals of the venerated ancestros celebrated in the lake region of Patzcuaro are well known, and the Artisan Exhibition , held right in front of Hotel Mansión Iturbe, is also anticipated with much enthusiasm.    The majestic Plaza Vasco de Quiroga – one of the most beautiful in Mexico – is the perfect venue for showing off the indigenous folk art of Michoacan.   Most of the techniques were either perfected or learned during the era of Don Vasco de Quiroga’s evangelism in the sixteenth century, and have been handed down from parents to their children.   The efforts of Don Vasco – “Tata Vasco,” as he is affectionately called – are never forgotten.        Uno de los principales atractivos de la Temporada de Noche de Muertos en Michoacán. Además las Tradicionales Velaciones y Rituales ancestrales que se llevan a cabo en la Región Lacustre, es el Tianguis Artesanal que se instala justo frente al Hotel Mansión Iturbe en Pátzcuaro.        La Majestuosa Plaza Vasco de Quiroga, una de las más bellas del Continente Americano, es testigo de esta muestra del Arte Popular Mexicano. On September 29, 2011, marked the first day of the Second World Cultural Tourism Expo in Morelia , Michoacán.   For four exciting days, tourist attractions of Michoacán and other international destinations were showcased. During the kickoff cocktail party, national and international concessionaires, tour companies, and Michoacán hotel owners were able to mingle and brainstorm about tourism challenges and goals.   Directors of the Council for the Promotion of Mexican Tourism were the primary facilitators for the event.     It was an expo to show to the world the historic, cultural, and natural riches of Michoacán.   If we had had time, we could have attended about 50 different cultural events held in various public venues in Morelia .       An important event during this World Expo took place in Pátzcuaro “La Magía de mis Pueblos .”   An exposition of pictures of the different Magic Towns in México.        El pasado 29 se Septiembre, se inauguró en Morelia, Michoacán; la 2ª. Feria Mundial de Turismo Cultural. Importante escaparate, para mostrar al Mundo durante 4 días, los atractivos Turísticos de Michoacán, México y de destinos internacionales.          Durante el cocktail inaugural, expositores nacionales e internacionales, hoteleros michoacanos y Tour Operadores Internacionales, pudimos convivir e intercambiar inquietudes sobre las necesidades de los Turistas en la actualidad.
